In order to show the viability of the open source model within the world of software, the most successful vendors and applications in that landscape were plotted according to their age, magnitude (measured in revenue, or number of downloads) and visibility. The data was entered into an Excel spreadsheet, which after running through a custom Apple Script, generated an isometric Adobe Illustrator file.
